Wicked Stuff Wednesday

1)      Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner – Blackest Black (also comes in Charcoal, Brown, Eggplant, etc.), $9.99 on Ulta.com:

This stuff is absolutely amazing for several reasons I feel comfortable mentioning.  The first is that it doesn’t burn the crap out of my eyes.  I have sensitive eyes/skin/feelings/etc.  It doesn’t burn them, even when I accidentally put it directly in my eye instead of on it as directions indicate.

The second reason, it stays put.  Other than a few “ring finger eraser” touch-ups in the office bathroom mirror, it’s there to stay.  That goes for your upper and lower lids, ladies.  You heard me. 

While the applicator brush might be intimidating, if you have any experience at all with liquid eyeliner, you’ll be a pro at this.  The only thing I struggled with initially was just how much to swish the brush around.  I definitely recommend getting it. 

2)      ShakeitPhoto for iPhone, $.99 on iTunes:

I love photography – specifically iPhone photography - and love to annoy my Blonde Ambition, Dover and my cat Peaches, especially.  I had heard before of an iPhone app that mocks the classic Polaroids.  So, with no amount of extensive searching did I find ShakeitPhoto. 

I don’t know photography/Photoshop/SLR/Filter lingo.  I just know that you take the picture and “Shake it like a Polaroid picsha…” Had to.  Ta da!  It comes out looking like you messed with it for at least ten minutes on your picture editing software of choice.
